The Brentwood Christian School athletics program received information from the TAPPS office recently concerning our alignment for the 2026-28 school years.
After two years of being in TAPPS 5A (Division II) District 2 in all sports, BCS will remain in 5A, but move over to district 3 in all sports with new teams.
In most sports, BCS will be aligned with Hyde Park, Regents, and Hill Country Christian. In soccer, the Bears will also add John Paul II - Schertz to the mix.
The one exception is football, where Brentwood Christian will now play an independent schedule the next two seasons with TAPPS 6A and 5A local teams who have similar roster sizes and programs to the Bears. More information will be provided by head football coach and athletic director Kyle Maxfield when the schedule and outlook has been finalized.
It's always a great day to be a Brentwood Bear, and we are excited to alleviate some travel concerns while continuing to use athletics to further our mission to lead students to love God.
