Brentwood Christian School is gearing up for a new year of high school athletics with several fresh faces in prominent roles.
The first is in the middle school, where long-time boys soccer coach Cash Miller has been named Middle School Athletic Coordinator. He replaces Rick Owens, last year's defensive coordinator and head golf coach, in the role. Miller will be in charge of coordinating all CAPPS athletics for grades 6th-8th as well as the newly christened Cub Club (4th-5th) intramural athletics.
Elsewhere, Brentwood Christian welcomed Cheyanne Lovelady over the summer as new head volleyball coach. Joining BCS after a successful two-year stint at Brownwood High School, she reunites at Brentwood with athletic director Kyle Maxfield, who worked with Lovelady at Bangs High School previously.
Lovelady replaces Paula Trejos, who left Brentwood for St. Stephen's Episcopal School.
Assistant boys basketball coach and BCS alum Connor White is expanding his footprint as the head golf coach for boys and girls, taking over for Owens, as well as Sports Chaplain. In this newly created role, White will work with all campus athletic programs and provide guidance for Biblical worldview integration and spiritual formation throughout the year.
Head boys basketball coach Dustin Karrer is now the Director of Basketball Operations, assisting with coordinating all gym sports needs, and last year's assistant girls basketball coach, Ethan Grant, has taken over as head coach.
BCS is excited to welcome an outstanding collection of coaches for the 2025-26 school year and look forward to the impact they will have in the academic, athletic and spiritual lives of our student population.
